NWFP extends cheques validity
PESHAWAR (July 15 2007): The NWFP finance department has extended the validity of all such cheques up to July 20, 2007 which were issued during the month of June 2007 but could not be encashed up to June 30, 2007.
As regards PLAs, Assignment Accounts, Reserves Funds and Public Works Accounts cheques, the period of their validity is also extended up to July 20, 2007 which were issued and cleared by the treasury officer concerned during the month of June 2007 but could not be encashed up to June 2007.
