PESHAWAR: In light of the provincial cabinet meeting on law and order and decisions taken in the meeting of the Peace Committee/Loya Jirga of Malakand Division, the NWFP government has decided to shift the Army stationed at Chakdarra University Campus and Matta College, Swat, to the FC Headquarters, Malakand, and Kabal, Swat, respectively. The provincial cabinet in its meeting held on July 9 and Malakand Loya Jirga held on July 16 in principle agreed that neither the Army would be stationed at any educational or health institution nor would launch any operation without consent of the provincial government. To implement the decisions of the peace committee in letter and spirit, NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani approached the Army authorities for shifting the troops from educational and health institutions.
